"A Brief History of Tattoo Traditions:" is a 24 page risograph zine which educates the reader on 16 different international tattoo traditions that have existed throughout history. As a tattoo apprentice, I felt drawn to this project due to the lack of knowledge on historical tattooing in the modern day tattoo community. I feel it is extremely important to acknowledge that tattooing has existed for centuries, pioneered by primarily people of color.
